I'll stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's bout.

Ex twice world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in round four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Size Difference

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really going ahead.
